  “Pain Conquered Through Speed” Digital Artwork, “The mind can learn to conquer pain,” (Ackerman, pg. 101).     This piece depicts a desperate urgency. The moment I sought to capture was the feeling you get when you get burned or any kind of startling injury and you recoil your hand back as fast as humanly possible in an attempt to somehow run away from the pain in a sense. If I could animate this I would have the all of the energy of this piece dissipate very quickly and show that the pain caught up to this person in the end. Aside from that tangent, as I said I wanted to capture the primal reaction to a sudden pain. “Phantoms of a Painful Past” Digital Artwork, “In the classic phenomenon of phantom limb pain, the brain gets faulty signals and continues to feel pain in a limb that has been amputated...” (Ackerman, pg. 104).     This piece was particularly fun to make, not like the other was a drag mind you.
